WITH GROWING EXPORTS, BRAZILIAN CONFECTIONERY INDUSTRY INCREASES INTERNATIONAL MARKETING
Companies visit six countries in the first semester, in a timetable organized by ABICAB and Apex-Brasil
The Brazilian candy, chocolates, peanuts and snacks industry are collecting the results of strong recent investments - over R$ 2.34 billion between 2012 and 2017. Exports increased more than 40% in the first ten months of 2018 due to an increase in the supply of new lines, with more sophisticated products and packaging, in line with current international trends.
Fostered by the success, Brazilian companies will fulfill an intense timetable of trade promotion in the foreign market in the first half of 2019, with visits to six countries. Following an agenda prepared by ABICAB (The Brazilian Chocolates, Peanuts and Candies Manufacturers Association) - within the Brasil Sweets and Snacks programme, which has the support of Apex-Brasil (The Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) - Brazil's confectionery industry participates in events in Germany, Dubai, Russia, China, the United States and Spain.
Still in January, 15 companies exhibited at ISM 2019, the largest international fair in the industry, which took place from 27 to 30 in Cologne, Germany. In the delegation of the Brazil Pavilion: BERBAU, CORY, DIVINE, DORI, EMBARÉ, FRANCFORT, GAROTO, JAZAM, MONTEVERGINE, NEUGEBAUER, BRUMAU OSTINATO, PECCIN, RICLAN, SIMAS and TOFFANO.
In February, Brazilian companies exhibited in one of their target markets of the Middle East. A delegation of 13 companies will participated at Gulfood 2019, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from 17 to 21: DORI, EMBARÉ, DOCILE, CORY, SIMAS, RICLAN, MAVALERIO, NEUGEBAUER, JAZAM, SIMONETTO, TOFFANO, PECCIN and BEATRICE PEANUTS .
Russia is already a growing destination for Brazilian exports and a delegation of four companies exhibited in the country in February. FRANCFORT, CORY, COPLANA & BEATRICE PEANUTS exhibit at the Prod Expo, in Moscow, from February 11 to 15.
In May, ABICAB and Apex-Brasil will have a mission to China, with visits to Shanghai and Beijing, from 9 to 18.
Also in the same month, a delegation of ten companies – BERBAU, GAROTO, DA MAGRINHA, EMBARÉ, EMEX, JAZAM, MARILAN, PECCIN, RICLAN & SIMAS – will participate in the Sweets and Snacks Fair, from 21 to 23, in Chicago, United States, which is one of the most traditional export markets for the Brazilian confectionery industry.
In June, a group of four companies will exhibit at Snackex 2019, in Barcelona, Spain. BEATRICE PEANUTS, COPLANA, BRUMAU OSTINATO and FRANCFORT will be in the fair from 27 to 28.
